Having two Border Collies costs more time, energy and money than one. Living together they imitate each other; if one has bad habits like inappropriate elimination, the other copies, but if one is already stable, the other is easier to train. Also, Border Collies are smart and mischievous as puppies, so two may team up to figure out how to destroy things, and occasionally fight if personalities clash.

But two dogs keep each other company and stand together outside, so they are more lively. And adult Border Collies become stable, very loyal, gentle and obedient.
