What are Egyptian Mau cats like?

The Egyptian Mau is a medium-sized cat with a slender build. Its muscles are not heavily developed but the lines are smooth, and its main coat colors are silver, bronze, smoke, and black, giving it a noble appearance.

Its temperament is balanced – not overly playful or clingy, yet not cold either. When interacting with its owner it gives soft chirps and enjoys being petted. The Egyptian Mau is very loyal and, if raised from a young age, fully joins the family, but it stays aloof toward strangers.
