Before training a rabbit, give it a simple, memorable name and call it often to let it become familiar. Then let the rabbit out of the cage, keep some distance, hold its snack and keep calling its name; when it comes to you, reward it promptly.

You can also use snacks to guide it onto your leg, and give a snack when it gets close. After repeating, the rabbit will learn that staying near you brings treats.
