If a dog eats the wrong thing, you can induce vomiting with soapy water or diluted hydrogen peroxide. Cut a clean soap into small pieces, dissolve in warm water, adjust to a suitable temperature with cool boiled water, and syringe-feed it; the dog will usually start vomiting soon.

For hydrogen peroxide, dilute 1:1 with water first and control the dose to avoid damaging the stomach. Before inducing vomiting, give a little vegetable oil, wait 5 minutes, then give the peroxide.
