How strong is a Mastiff’s bite force?

The English Mastiff has a bite force of 550 PSI, very strong and surpassing breeds like the Dogo Argentino and Rottweiler; it was once used as a war dog. Given its large size, thick bones and solid muscle, such power is no surprise.

Its aggression is not especially high because Mastiffs are calm and lazy and rarely bite. Still, be careful: avoid taking it to crowded places and start socialization training early.
