Old English Sheepdogs are gentle and easygoing, very loyal to their owners, and quite obedient. Puppies are usually more mischievous, love to chew, and have abundant energy. When the owner is home they behave well, but when left alone a young sheepdog may tear up the house.
Adult sheepdogs are generally calmer and easier to train. They enjoy being close to their owners and are very friendly toward strangers, getting along well with people.
