What are the symptoms of gastritis in dogs?

The main symptoms of canine gastritis are frequent vomiting, abdominal pain, arched back, lethargy, and reduced appetite, occasionally with diarrhea that soils the fur around the anus. Acute gastritis from persistent vomiting can cause dehydration, electrolyte imbalance, and acidosis, and may even lead to shock and death.

Chronic gastritis causes gradual weight loss, weakness, coarse coat, and mild anemia, so take the dog to a vet promptly. Feed on a regular schedule in fixed amounts, and use a gastrointestinal prescription diet for a while to settle the stomach.
