When are kittens weaned?

Kittens can be weaned at one and a half months; if the mother cat’s milk is insufficient, weaning can be earlier, then feed the kitten a pet-specific goat milk formula. From weaning until two months of age, it is recommended to feed goat milk formula for a while, because the kitten’s intestines are still very fragile and cannot easily digest cat food. After the kitten reaches two months, goat milk or warm-water-softened kitten food or mush can be fed; soften it more at first to ensure normal digestion, and as the kitten grows, gradually reduce the soaking time—by three months of age, dry kitten food can be fed directly.
