Why is the Whippet banned?

The Whippet is not actually banned; what is usually banned are the Pit Bull and the Greyhound, which looks similar to the Whippet; these three are different breeds. The Whippet has a gentle temperament, is very friendly toward people, and almost never attacks, plus it is relatively easy to train and very loyal to its owner, making it great as a companion dog.

The Pit Bull, by contrast, is a rather aggressive, fierce, and muscular dog, so most cities have banned it. The Greyhound, which resembles the Whippet, is banned simply because it is too large, a giant breed.
