Dogs need to be fed according to their age. Puppies under 45 days old that require hand-rearing should be fed every 2-3 hours; dogs from 45 days to 2 months old should be fed 5 times a day; those 2-3 months old 4 times; those 3 months to 1 year old 3 times; and dogs over 1 year old can be fed 1-2 times a day.

After a dog turns 7, it gradually enters its senior years. Intestinal motility slows and digestion and absorption weaken, so it should be fed small amounts more frequently – about 2-3 times a day is recommended.
