The dwarf rabbit is the smallest pet rabbit, weighing about 1 kg and ~30 cm long when adult, with a gentle, friendly temperament. Prepare a properly sized cage tall enough for the rabbit to stand, so it can move freely. Use a drinking bottle rather than a bowl — long-term bowl drinking makes the mouth moist and can cause stomatitis. Provide a suitably sized litter box, since rabbit droppings smell and must be cleaned daily. Feed rabbit-specific pellets and hay, with small amounts of vegetables and fruit.
