Recipe: Raw Beef Cat Meal
π Summary
A raw beef cat meal: dice beef tenderloin, heart, and liver, then mix in taurine, calcium, multivitamin, salmon oil, probiotics, and under 5% veg/fruit puree with alfalfa and kelp. Boneless version needs calcium. A balanced staple, ready in under five minutes.
1 Ingredients
Main meats: beef, beef heart, beef liver. Supplements: taurine, calcium carbonate, multivitamin, salmon oil, probiotics, vegetable/fruit puree, alfalfa powder, kelp powder. Suitable for cats over one month old.
Step 1 β Prepare: 200 g beef tenderloin, 50 g beef heart, 30 g beef liver.
2 Prep and Mixing
Step 2 β Dice the tenderloin, heart, and liver into cubes; about 1 cm for a first-timer (easier to accept), larger for experienced cats (better for oral health).
Step 3 β Add supplements: 10 g vegetable/fruit puree (up to 5% of total, mimicking the undigested plants in a wild prey’s gut); 5 g kelp powder (rich minerals, add gradually as it is less palatable); 5 g alfalfa powder (natural enzymes, diuretic, vitamin-rich); multivitamin and salmon oil (per brand); 3 g taurine (~1%, water-soluble so no overdose risk); 1.5 g calcium carbonate (~0.6%, needed because this boneless version must be supplemented with calcium); and probiotics (to replace what storage loses).
Step 4 β Stir the meat and supplements well, adding a little cooled boiled water. Step 5 β Serve once mixed.
