A Teddy refusing food can relate to heat, picky eating, or health problems. If you feed the same food long term the dog may become anorexic and stop eating. During heat, high hormone levels can also suppress appetite.

Refusing food may also signal health issues including oral problems, digestive troubles, or other illnesses.

👤 Pet Owner Experience

A Teddy that won't eat at all is one I'd get seen, mine went off food from a tooth issue the vet caught, so "nothing" isn't just pickiness. Offer something bland and watch for other signs, but if it's been a day or more, the vet should look, small dogs dehydrate quickly. Mine needed a dental fix, turned out he was in pain, so I don't assume attitude when a dog truly stops eating.
