1) Coccidiosis infection

Coccidiosis signs include twitching, head thrown back, arched body, paddling limbs, and constant screaming. Often no warning before sudden death, sometimes with diarrhea and bloody stool. It strikes fast with high death rate; once it starts there is no cure.

Coccidiosis is most dangerous to kits under 3 months, so prevent strictly—start coccidia medicine at about 1 month and continue to 6 months. Use diclazuril solution in drinking water long-term.

Adults tolerate it well and won’t get sick even if carrying it; past 6 months, prevention is no longer needed.

2) Low blood sugar

Newly bought kits often had poor feeding at the dealer or stress from environment change, leading to nutritional metabolic disorder—long malnutrition with twitching, limb weakness, coma, shock.

For this, give 50% glucose solution for first aid at once; after recovery, use an amino-acid nutritional product—supplements work best.

3) Neurological disease

Rabbit epilepsy shows obvious twitching plus nervous-system upset, screaming, uncontrolled circling, until coma and possibly death from heart hypoxia.

There is no cure for rabbit epilepsy; it is often triggered by severe fright. Epileptic rabbits need a quiet environment and careful watching to greatly reduce episodes.
