Why Is Your Dog Vomiting Green Fluid?

1 Gastritis
If diarrhea and lost appetite came before the green vomit, and the fluid carries foam and stomach acid, gastritis is likely. A dog-specific gut medicine plus an anti-diarrheal eases the stomach, and a probiotic calms the discomfort and cuts the green vomiting.
2 Parasite Infection
A severe parasite load also produces green vomit — the fluid is thick and grainy, with eggs and parasite mucus. This is an advanced infection, so a veterinary internal and external deworming is best. At home a vet-prescribed dewormer clears the parasites, but watch the dose: too much can itself cause diarrhea.
3 Cholecystitis
If neither cause fits, cholecystitis (gallbladder inflammation) is the likely culprit, and there is no special home drug for it. Seek dedicated veterinary treatment.
4 Acting Fast
Green vomit is rare and must not be ignored — don’t let delay put the dog at risk. Read the fluid, treat the cause, and get to a clinic when needed.
