Why is the Old English Sheepdog a banned breed?

The Old English Sheepdog is banned in some places because of its size: adults stand about 50-61 cm at the shoulder and weigh 25-35 kg, making them a large, hard-to-control breed. Although gentle, they sometimes show excitement by knocking into people, which can cause injury. Not every city bans them — dense urban or scenic areas usually impose the restriction. Their long, easily matted coat and large body make grooming demanding, so brush daily and trim regularly for health and hygiene.
