Why does my Samoyed like to sleep on the floor?

A Samoyed may like sleeping on the floor because the weather is hot and the floor is cool, so it lies there to cool down; if so, the owner should help it cool off properly. Also, some Samoyeds sleep on the floor to increase their sense of security, since they hear sounds more clearly there and can notice anything at once.

In addition, it may simply be a habit and feel comfortable; however, the owner should guide it to sleep in its own bed to avoid catching a chill on the floor.
