2. After illness, poor appetite and low spirits are typical; if it stays still all night and won’t eat, wake it, give glucose water, then try food. For a cold, give a small-pet cold medicine.
3. If the environment is too cold, the hamster may enter pseudo-hibernation — like sleeping but losing body heat fast; if not woken, it dies. Move it somewhere very warm and try to rouse it.
4. All-day sleeping and refusing food may also mean fright; move it to a quiet place, don’t disturb it, leave favorite food and water, and it will eat when calm.
