Why does my dog urinate drop by drop?

A dog urinating drop by drop is likely caused by heat, urinary tract disease, or insufficient water intake. First, during heat a dog marks territory everywhere and controls its urine volume, releasing only a little each time. Second, when a dog has urinary diseases such as urethritis, bladder stones, or cystitis, it also shows frequent urination, small volume, and dribbling. If you also notice pain or blood when urinating, take it to the vet. Finally, if a dog drinks too little and eats salty food, its kidney burden increases and urine output drops, so give it bland food and ensure daily water intake.
