Why does my cat keep crying out in pain?

If a cat keeps crying, first check for wounds; none rules out wound pain. Then consider heat, when cats yowl loudly, and use favorite toys to distract.

Only spaying prevents this. Severe stress or abdominal pain also causes crying; if it persists with other signs, see a vet.
