Why does my cat drink foot-wash water?

Cats have a keen sense of taste and may be curious about the smell of foot water and lick it. Also, if the water surface moves, the cat may mistake it for flowing water, which cats see as safe and fresh. Either way, foot water may contain human bacteria and odors and is unhealthy long-term, so stop the cat from drinking it.
