Why Does a Cat Keep Meowing?

Constant meowing can stem from heat, discomfort, insecurity, or hunger. Cats reach sexual maturity at 6–8 months and may howl day and night; if not breeding, spay after the cycle.

Illness also causes crying—watch diet and energy, and see a vet if abnormal. New cats may cry from insecurity for 1–3 days. Hungry cats meow, so feed on a set schedule.
