Why does a cat get ringworm (cat fungus)?

Cat ringworm is mainly caused by fungal infection; a cat’s own weak resistance or a damp environment raises the chance of infection. If the living environment is humid and warm, fungi easily multiply and increase the risk, especially for weak cats, which are more prone to ringworm or other skin diseases in damp conditions.

In addition, contact with a cat that has ringworm easily spreads the infection.
