Why Does a Bichon Have a Runny Nose?

A Bichon’s runny nose may be caused by a cold, allergy, respiratory or upper respiratory infection, or cold-air irritation. Keep the dog warm and clean the nasal discharge with a warm, damp tissue or swab to avoid breathing difficulty.

If the runny nose lasts long or comes with cough, appetite loss, tearing, lethargy, or fever, take it to a veterinary hospital to determine the cause and treat it.
