Where do dog ticks come from?

Dog ticks may spread from playing with other dogs, or be picked up in grass, woods, rivers, or bushes. A dirty living environment can also harbor ticks.

Deworm the dog monthly. If you find a tick, spray alcohol to numb it, then pull it out quickly with tweezers. Keep the environment clean and dry.
