You can clip a Bichon at 3-4 months; the first clip removes the puppy coat so better fur grows. But don’t shave it all, keep about 1 cm.
After clipping, add lecithin and coat paste to grow better fur. Or skip the clip and let the puppy coat shed naturally around 5 months.
