When does a cat change its teeth?

Cat teething lasts about 3 to 4 months. Baby teeth appear at 7 to 10 days old, adult teeth start around 4 months and are fully replaced by 7 to 8 months. During teething the teeth itch intensely, so the cat often chews; provide chew sticks to protect furniture.

During this period the cat’s chewing ability drops, so it is advised to soften the kibble before feeding.
