When do Scottish Fold cats’ ears fold?

Scottish Fold cats generally show the folded-ear trait at about three months after birth. It is hard to tell whether a kitten is a fold before three months, because some are born with drooping ears while others have upright ears.

As they grow, drooping ears may gradually stand up and upright ears may slowly droop; the ear shape usually settles after three months of age, so that is when the cat’s quality can be accurately judged.
