Generally, from 4 weeks you can add some supplemental food, since the kitten is in the weaning period. Early in weaning, soften kitten kibble or milk cake in warm goat milk so it adapts to post-weaning food.

Complete the food transition over about a week, then fully wean, to avoid refusal to eat or digestive upset from a large diet change.
