What unusual behaviors do budgerigars show before mating?

During the breeding season, a budgerigar’s cere changes: the female’s cere turns dark brown, while the male’s turns deep blue. In addition, breeding adults develop a white eye ring, and to attract the female the male calls more frequently.

Also during breeding, the male budgerigar feeds the female; all of the above are pre-breeding signs.
