From the photo alone the internal eye injury cannot be clearly seen. If from trauma, conjunctivitis swelling and corneal damage may occur and need prompt veterinary examination to avoid vision loss. If only the eyelid is red and swollen, fit an Elizabethan collar and apply antibacterial eye drops, watching for improvement. If no improvement, see a vet.
