What Is Turtle Hibernation Like?

During hibernation a turtle tucks its limbs, head, and tail into its shell, shuts its eyes, and stays still. It usually starts below 10 C, around October to next March; above 10 C it may wake but not eat.

Don’t disturb it often and control the temperature, so it does not wake frequently and waste energy, which could lower its condition or even cause death.
