What is the cockatiel’s constitution like?

Cockatiels are mostly weak, easier to sicken than budgies and lovebirds, and demand more from environment and keeper. Keep the cage and food and water cups clean daily and remove uneaten food to protect their gut.

Also keep a stable temperature and avoid frequent moves between very different temperatures to prevent colds. Though not robust, they are clingy, interactive when hand-raised and smart, so still worth keeping.
