What is the Cane Corso really like?

No dog is perfect, and the Cane Corso is no exception. Its strengths are deep loyalty; most bond to one owner for life and may refuse food if abandoned. It is friendly and tolerant with family but wary of strangers, yet calm and not over-reactive, and fairly smart and obedient, so training is easy.

Its downsides are notable: some aggression if not fully tamed, a special mouth shape causing heavy drooling, a large body with a big appetite and very high energy needing long daily outings.
