What is in a dog’s fever-reducing injection?

Dog fever injections come mainly in two types: analgesic-anti-inflammatory such as aspirin and aminopyrine, and anti-inflammatory such as dexamethasone and prednisone. There are also herbal fever reducers like bupleurum and Qingkailing.

Note that some fever shots cannot be given to small dogs, so the choice depends on the dog and vet advice. Control dose and timing per the vet; do not overuse.
