FIP stands for feline infectious peritonitis, a progressive, highly fatal disease caused by a mutated coronavirus. GS-441524 (441) and GC-376 are the specific drugs for FIP, but 441 is more potent and works better.
Using 441 suppresses the replication of the mutated coronavirus and raises the cure rate above 65%. In an earlier experiment, 70% of cats with FIP improved noticeably after 441 treatment, but 10% relapsed some time after stopping the drug.
