What is a cat’s shedding season like?

Cats shed mainly in spring and autumn, lasting about 2-3 weeks, though some shed lightly all year. During shedding the coat becomes sparse, loose and prone to falling out, a normal response to temperature changes as the cat adjusts coat length and thickness. During this time brush daily to remove loose hair and dander and keep the coat smooth.
