What happens when a dog gets jealous?

When a dog gets jealous it may silently hide in a corner, looking gloomy; if the owner does not comfort it in time, the dog may later refuse to interact with the owner.

In addition, some dogs may rush forward to compete for attention, acting clingier while snapping at the animal that stole the owner’s affection.

Finally, some dogs will bare their teeth at the owner to express displeasure, or watch quietly as the owner dotes on another animal and then, when the owner isn’t looking, secretly take revenge on the favored one.
