What happens when a Bichon Frise catches canine distemper?

When a Bichon Frise is infected with canine distemper, the early stage usually brings fever, increased eye and nasal discharge, coughing, reduced appetite, and lethargy. As the virus continues to affect various organs, the Bichon may develop rapid breathing, worsening cough, diarrhea, vomiting, and bloody stool. Finally, in the late stage distemper easily attacks the nervous system, which can cause convulsions, ataxia (unsteady gait), seizures, and other symptoms; without timely treatment, it may ultimately lead to coma and even death.
