If a Teddy’s nails are not trimmed for a long time, they grow longer and curl into the paw pads, causing pain when walking and lameness. Nails embedded in the skin can injure the toes and trigger interdigital dermatitis.

Long nails also easily scratch the owner and family. To relieve the discomfort, the dog may constantly scratch furniture, damaging sofas, curtains, carpets, and similar items.
