Early vaccination may cause immune failure because puppies carry maternal antibodies that neutralize the live-attenuated vaccine antigen. Wait until about 2 months when maternal antibody drops before vaccinating.

The first series is 3 shots 21 days apart; some cases allow 14 days for the second, but 21 is safest, or the vaccine may be ineffective.
