What happens after a dog is injured?

After a dog is injured, it may show a series of physical, behavioral, and emotional changes, depending on the type and severity of the injury. First, dogs have a relatively high pain tolerance, so if the injury is minor they generally will not show pain or discomfort, making it hard for owners to notice. If the injury is more severe, the dog may whimper, cry out, tremble, or lose its appetite.
