Normal Labrador stool should be yellow, brown or dark brown, formed but not overly dry, and easily picked up in a tissue without sticking to the ground.
Very hard, ball-shaped stool usually means constipation from hairballs or low water intake; feed fruit and vegetables, more water and exercise. Soft, watery, foul-smelling stool is diarrhea, possibly from parasites or indigestion; try probiotics and if no relief, see a vet.
