Mites in rabbits mainly cause the following symptoms. First, most mites infect areas with shorter fur, such as around the lips, nose, face, and ends of the limbs, causing bumps, papules, skin thickening, and crusting at the affected site. Second, some types of mites cause intense skin itching, leading the rabbit to scratch and bite the area frequently, then showing redness, breaks, hair loss, and crusting.

Finally, if the rabbit is infected with ear mites, there is usually a large amount of yellow, strongly smelling earwax inside the ears, and the rabbit will shake its head and scratch its ears frequently.
