What do newly born peacocks eat?

Newly born peacocks mainly feed on small insects, which are rich in protein and nutrients essential for healthy growth and development. As the peacock grows, its diet can gradually be diversified by adding fruit and seeds.

Under artificial rearing, newly hatched peacocks can be fed boiled egg yolk along with some concentrated feed and greens. About half a month after hatching, they can begin eating chick starter feed.
