Healthy rabbits have 28 teeth: 6 incisors, two upper pairs, one lower pair, with upper incisors slightly outward over the lower, 10 premolars, 3 upper 2 lower, and 12 molars, 3 each.

As rodents with open-rooted teeth, they grow continuously; if too long they hinder closing and chewing, so provide hay and chew sticks.
