What are a dog’s canine teeth like?

A dog has four canine teeth, two on top and two on bottom, on either side of the incisors, with usually six incisors in the middle. The canines are thin, sharp and can easily scratch or bite people, so train the dog not to bite at will. Puppies are born without teeth; they start around 15 days and are mostly in by 4-6 weeks. Between 2-4 months the baby teeth fall out and stronger adult teeth grow; give chew toys then to avoid chewing furniture.
