Normally the mother hamster feeds the pups herself and the owner need not step in. Without the mother, the owner must hand-rear them. For hand-rearing, feed the pups goat milk formula with a small syringe in small, frequent meals. Newborn pups generally need feeding every two hours. As the hamster grows and develops, gradually increase the amount and lower the feeding frequency.
β After arriving home it had diarrhea and a red, swollen anus; after the anus healed, no fur grew on the tail. Feels like ringworm but no dandruff. Photo 1 is the early diarrhea, photo 2 is now.
A few days ago it had limb weakness and couldn't get up; now the neck barely moves, can't eat, vomits when drinking, has retched the last two days, and has a slight fever and runny nose. β
