How can I tell if my cat is male or female?

Very young kittens haven't descended their scrotum, so sex is hard to judge then. In adults, examine the genitals directly. For cats whose organs aren't fully developed, use the distance between the genital opening and the anus: in males it's about 2 cm, in females about 1 cm.
