How should I hold a cat?

Hold a cat by supporting the front limbs with one hand and the hind legs and rump with the other, letting the cat lean back against your chest so it feels safe and stays calm. For a first-meeting kitten, use the baby hold. But if the cat has a fiery temper, the baby hold is not advised.
